Position title: Financial Controller

Reports to: CFO

Position summary:

Leo Cancer Care a Radiation Therapy company headquartered in Madison Wisconsin are continuing to expand and are looking to hire their first Financial Controller. This role will act as the lead for Finance in the US, supporting a growing multi-functional team and report to the UK based CFO.

Key responsibilities:

• Be the lead for Finance in the US entities on a day-to-day basis and manage a small local team.
• Responsible for the financial close process for the US entities.
• Create methodologies, ways of working and procedures around financial reporting internal controls, budgets, and forecasts flexing as we grow.
• Support the NetSuite implementation as it continues to develop as a key user and administrator.
• Ensuring financial information is prepared to a standard appropriate for internal and external stakeholders.
• Become the key contact for our US banking partners.
• Manage elements of any external audits and tax.

Competencies and experience required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a strong working knowledge of GAAP accounting and financial reporting.
• Up to 5 years relevant experience, preferably with 2 to 3 years of controller experience With CPA or CMA preferred.
• A demonstrable track record of proactive change management and someone who is comfortable in a continually developing environment.
• Experienced user of financial and ERP systems, ideally with history of NetSuite.
• Strong critical thinking and high attention to detail.

Cancer is one of the biggest killers that we face today with 1 in 5 people diagnosed at some point in their life, it is something that affects us all. 50% of all patients diagnosed with cancer should receive Radiation Therapy as part of their treatment but due to the cost, size and complexity of current technology, the number that do is around half of that.

Current Radiation Therapy is delivered with a patient lying supine on a table while a large machine is rotated around them delivering radiation from different angles to kill the tumour. Lying on a table, many patients report that they feel like a passenger in their treatment feeling vulnerable through the entire process. Leo Cancer Care was founded with one clear goal, to bring a more human way to treat cancer and empower patients to face treatment on their feet.
